Nomura Appoints Harry Curtis as Senior Analyst for Gaming, Lodging, and Leisure in US Equity Research
New York, July 21, 2010 – Nomura Securities International, Inc. announced today that Harry Curtis will join the firm as a Managing Director and senior analyst covering Gaming, Lodging & Leisure in the firm's US Equity Research department.
Curtis, who will be joining Nomura from Lazard Capital Markets, has been an established leader and highly-regarded analyst in the Gaming & Lodging industry for over 25 years. Before moving to the buy-side in 2008 as a portfolio manager and senior consumer analyst, Curtis was consistently recognized by Institutional Investor as a highly-ranked Gaming & Lodging analyst. Curtis has also been recognized by Forbes and The Wall Street Journal with their "Best on the Street" awards.

Curtis will be joining Aram Rubinson (Hardline Retail) and Paul Lejuez (Softline Retail) as the initial members of Nomura's Consumer research team in the US. Since April, Nomura has hired 8 senior analysts in US Equity Research, including Michael Nathanson (Media & Advertising), Brian Nowak (Internet), Glenn Schorr (Brokers & Asset Managers), Shannon O'Callaghan (Multi-Industry) and Romit Shah (Semiconductors).
