Purpose of the Structural Reform
The Financial Institutions Division of the Company has serviced its customers by dividing them by business category, such as banks, insurance companies, and asset management companies. In recent years, however, with rapid progress in the sophistication of customer asset management and the diversification of their needs, the Financial Institutions Division has decided to undertake structural reform to better respond to these trends.
As a first step, the Financial Institutions Division created the Institutional Sales Department in April 2012 to address the sophistication of customer asset management. Now, to respond to the diversification of their needs, the Division will integrate the Financial Institutions Department I, which is mainly responsible for banks, and the Financial Institutions Department II, primarily in charge of insurance companies, into the Financial Institutions Department.
