[Important] Change to Overseas ATM Withdrawal Limit
To prevent unauthorized overseas ATM transactions and to protect the assets of our customers, the overseas ATM daily cash withdrawal limit of customer accounts will be changed as follows.
- Effective date: Monday, January 20, 2014 (Japan Standard Time)
- Change to be made: Regardless of limit changes customers may have already made, overseas ATM per day cash withdrawal limit will be reset to 0 yen, except for PowerFlex accounts that fall under certain conditions described below.

This limit change will not apply to accounts which fit either one of the following descriptions:
- (1) PowerFlex accounts that were opened before November 30, 2012 and have been used to withdraw cash at overseas ATMs at least once between the dates of June 1, 2008 - December 31, 2013.
- (2) PowerFlex accounts that were/will be opened between the dates of December 1, 2012 - January 19, 2014.
Customers whose accounts are subject to this change will be notified through their Information Inbox* of our internet banking service, Shinsei PowerDirect, early January 2014. Customers who register for email alerts will be notified by email as well.
We ask that customers who do not wish to have their withdrawal limit reset to call our call center by 24:00 (JST) Thursday, January 16, 2014.
Withdrawal limits can be changed at anytime before or after Monday, January 20, 2014 online via Shinsei PowerDirect or by phone**.
All accounts opened with Shinsei Bank after January 20, 2014*** will have overseas ATM withdrawal limits set to JPY 0 per day as a default setting.

Customers who do not plan to use ATMs outside of Japan in the near future are advised to set their overseas ATM withdrawal limits to JPY 0 in order to enhance the security of their accounts.
Daily withdrawal limits can be confirmed online through Shinsei PowerDirect or by phone.

- * To reach your Information Inbox, click on the "Customer Support" tab on the first page after logging into Shinsei PowerDirect.
- ** Customers can set the overseas ATM daily cash withdrawal limit of their account to any amount between JPY 0 to JPY 100,000 in increments of JPY 10,000.
- *** Those who apply to open an account by mail by mid January 2014 and receive their cash card late January are requested to confirm their overseas withdrawal limit either by phone or online.
