---------------------------------------------------[commmons]
“commmons” is a new project established by Mr. Ryuichi Sakamoto and other artists in
collaboration with Avex Group as a vehicle for pursuing new possibilities in music. With the
slogan of “think global, act local,” it aims to be a commons, or a forum for building better
relations among artists/creators, music industry and users/listeners as a new music community
that has ecological perspectives and seeks to make social and cultural contributions. We
would like music to continue to exist at the center of the commons, so we named our project
“commmons,” with three m’s.
