Our Entertainment Information Program, “Channel a,” to Commence Regular
Broadcasting in Mandarin for the First Time Overseas
We hereby announce that it was decided that the Entertainment Information Program, “Channel a,”
whose broadcast rights we own, will commence broadcasting today by
Macau Asia Satellite Television
Company, Limited (Headquarters: Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of
China; hereinafter, “Macau,” President: Lin Nan) through Avex Asia Holdings Ltd. (Headquarters: Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China; hereinafter, “Hong Kong,”
President: Hajime Taniguchi), the company responsible for unifying management of our intellectual
property rights in Asia.
This is the first time that the program will commence regular broadcasting in Mandarin abroad (Macau,
Hong Kong, Guangdong Province of the People’s Republic of China, hereinafter, “Guangdong
Province,”) which will play a role in our future promotion in East Asia.

Company, together with dubbed Mandarin and Chinese subtitles, based on the
reedited visual materials for broadcasting in Japan

Reference ○ Channel a “Channel a” commenced broadcasting in 1998. It is an entertainment information program that
introduces artists and content belonging to the Company and is shown by 31 broadcasting stations in
Japan, as of January 2008.
○ Profile of Macau Asia Satellite Television Company, Limited
Macau Asia Satellite Television Company, Limited commenced services on March 15, 2004. The
receivable area includes households subscribing to cable TV stations in Macau, Hong Kong, and nine
cities in the Guangdong Province, and 60 areas in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, including overseas
Chinese residential areas. More than 90% of households in Macau and more than 60% of households in
Hong Kong view this service. It is also receivable in hotels rated with three stars or more, administrative
agencies, and education institutions in the People’s Republic of China. The number of households that
can receive the service is approximately 28.6 million, with a viewing audience of more than 100 million.
