Sojitz Begins Charter Operations of Two of Bombardier’s New Global 7500 Aircraft in its Business Jet Segment

Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”) has added two of Bombardier’s new Global 7500 jets to its charter fleet, expanding its current fleet of eight charter aircraft.

In the business jet market, the Global 7500 boasts a maximum range of 14,260km, enabling non-stop flights* to city pairs such as Tokyo to New York and Tokyo to Mexico. Compared to the former Global 6000 model, the new Global 7500 has additional living space, enhanced performance for takeoff and landing, and high-speed cruise to offer an even more pleasant flight.

*Depending on the weather conditions and number of passengers, non-stop flights may not be possible in certain cases.

With business jets, flights can be freely arranged to areas without scheduled flight service, which greatly reduces travel times and provides added security. Business jets function as a tool for businesses by maximizing the valuable time of executives and other flyers. Business jets also reduce the risk of infection and minimize the physical strains of travel, which is an added benefit in light of the recent importance of countermeasures against the spread of infection. These advantages make business jets a top choice for a wide range of clients including executives, international businesspersons, government officials, and athletes. Since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, inquiries on business jets have tripled.
