Azbil and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee Sign MoU for Research Collaboration on Innovative Digital Solutions

TOKYO, May. 22, 2023: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). The signing ceremony—attended by Mr. Kiyohiro Yamamoto (Director, Representative Corporate Executive, President & Group CEO of Azbil) and Prof. Kamal Kishore Pant (Director of IIT Roorkee)—took place on 2 May 2023 in the James Thomason Building of IIT Roorkee in India.

As stated in this MoU, Azbil and IIT Roorkee will engage in collaborative research and run internship programs in areas of mutual interest. The collaboration will involve joint academic activities, industry-led projects to promote digitalization, exchange of expertise and resources, and talent development in select STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. This partnership aims to foster research and development, promote knowledge-sharing, and create opportunities for students to gain valuable experience.
