Azbil Transfers azbil Group Company in North America to Sierra Instruments, Inc. in United States

TOKYO, Jan 9, 2024: Azbil Corporation (Head office: 2-7-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President & CEO: Kiyohiro Yamamoto) hereby announces that Azbil VorTek, LLC. (Headquarters: Colorado, U.S.A. President: Eric Sanford) of wholly-owned subsidiary of Azbils subsidiary Azbil North America, Inc. (Headquarters: Arizona, U.S.A. President: Takeshi Yoshizumi) was transferred to Sierra Instruments, Inc (Headquarters: California, U.S.A. General Manager: James Earle) and entered into an agreement with the company.

The azbil Group is developing its Building Automation, Advanced Automation, and Life Automation businesses in Japan and overseas based on the philosophy of "human-centered automation." Currently, the azbil Group is managing its business portfolio with the aim of achieving sustainable growth and increasing enterprise value toward to achieve its long-term targets for 2030.

As part of this, the azbil Group will transfer Azbil VorTek, LLC., one of the azbil group companies in the Advanced Automation business for factories and plants, which manufactures and sells vortex flowmeters in the United States, to Sierra Instruments, Inc.
The group will further concentrate its management resources on more progressive automation areas, such as sophisticated microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors and autonomous plant applications, which have strengths leveraging the groups accumulated technologies and know-how, and thus, will strengthen its competitiveness in Japan and overseas to increase enterprise value.

As a result of this transfer, there are no changes to the azbil Group's forecasts of consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, which were announced on November 7, 2023.
