Special Thanks Yen Time Deposit (Inquiry number:5076)
From Friday, March 1, 2024, The interest rate for the Special Thanks Yen Time Deposit will be revised as below.
Diamond Stage customers
- Before: 1.0 % per year ( after tax 0.7968% per year)
- After: 0.5 % per year ( after tax 0.3984% per year)
Platinum Stage customers
The Special Thanks Yen Time Deposit (limited to customers of Diamond and Platinum Stages) (inquiry number: 5076) will end on Friday, May 31, 2024. Due to the end of this program, the application period for some customers will change as follows.
<Notes about the Application Period>
- Customers whose birthday is by the end of May
No change: From the first day of the month before your birthday to the last day of the month of your birthday (excluding bank holidays)
- Customers whose birthday is in June
Change: From Wednesday, May 1, 2024 to Friday, May 31, 2024
Please note that applications will not be accepted after June 2024.

The number of free online funds transfer
Starting from Saturday, June 1, 2024, the number of free online funds transfer fees for Diamond stage will be as follows:
Diamond Stage customers
- Before: 50 times a month
- After: 10 times a month
Customers other than Diamond Stage
Cotora funds transfer is available free of charge when you send up to 100,000 yen per transfer to another person using our bank app. (Japanese only) . *The daily transfer limit is set at 100,000 yen.
Yen Savings Deposit for Diamond stage customers
Starting from Friday, March 29, 2024, the preferential interest rate for Diamond stage yen savings deposit will be revised as follows:
- Before: 0.10% per year (after tax 0.0796% per year)
- After: 0.15% per year (after tax 0.1195% per year)
- Yen savings deposits are variable interest rates that are reviewed daily. Depending on market trends, etc., we may
change the interest rate that we have announced in advance. Also, yen savings deposit is covered by deposit
insurance.

Regarding Yen Deposit
Interest is subject to 20.315% withholding tax (national tax 15.315% and local tax 5%).
- The fractional figure of the after-tax interest rate shall be rounded down.
- For Yen time deposits, the yen savings deposit interest rate will be applied on and after the maturity date.

- Limited to one time per customer during the application period.
- This offer is exclusive to customers in the Diamond or Platinum stages under the Step Up Program.
- If you open a new Power Flex account, you will automatically be in the Platinum stage for 6 months, including the month of
account opening (e.g. if the account was opened on January 10, it would be valid until June 30). However, during this initial
period, customers in the Platinum stage cannot set up the Special Thanks Yen Time Deposit. If a customer is upgraded to
the Diamond stage within this initial period, they can still set up the Special Thanks Yen Time Deposit.
- To qualify, you must apply for a 3-month Yen fixed-term deposit from the first day of the month before your birthday until
the last day of your birthday month.
- The contents of and conditions for this campaign are as of March 1, 2024. The terms of this campaign may change or be
terminated based on market conditions.
- When you have multiple offers/ programs available for your transaction, in principle you are requested to select one
campaigns/ programs of your choosing. However, they may be some cases in which multiple campaigns/ programs may apply.
- There are some cases where other branches or online campaign/ programs offer different conditions other than this offer. In
