Juki Corporation brought a patent infringement action in the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate Peoples Court against two companies infringing design patents owned by Juki Corporation. The design patents had been granted by Chinas State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) for the appearance design of industrial sewing machines.
We hereby notify you that, on September 19, 2008, the Court ruled in favour of Juki Corporation, prohibiting the defendants from manufacturing and selling the infringing products and ordering the defendants to pay monetary damages to Juki Corporation [First Instance Judgment of the No. 2 Intermediate Peoples Court, File Nos. 10429 and 10427 (2008)].
