Announcement of the Release of “AGC Group CSR Report 2010”

, AGC (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd., Head Office: Tokyo, President & CEO: Kazuhiko Ishimura)
issued “AGC Group CSR Report 2010” (A4 size, 64 pages in color) which summarized the CSR activities of the AGC Group in FY 2009.
The AGC Group strives to be a company trusted by all its
stakeholders, a company that meets the expectations of the world business community to grow and develop responsibly, and a company that significantly contributes to a healthier global society. To this end, the AGC Group conducts CSR activities in order to fulfill its social responsibilities centering on the value of the Group vision,
“Look Beyond” in
accordance with the “AGC Group Charter of Corporate Behavior”. This report is made up of Special Features and a report on FY2009 CSR activities and explains the AGC Group’s CSR activities in general to stakeholders in plain language.
“Delivering Technology Solutions for Climate Change” is taken up in Special Features, as touted in our
management policy
Grow Beyond
. That section introduces how the AGC Group is currently coping
with the climate change issue.
The Report on FY2009 CSR activities gives details of the AGC Group’s CSR activities. In addition, we
asked third parties in each individual field that includes “Compliance” and “Environment and Safety”, for their opinions so that we could implement the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle more effectively, and we introduce them in the report. We have created this report to introduce the efforts for CSR that individual employees have made, based on the opinions we received from readers last year.

). Its English version is scheduled to be published in early
June.
“AGC Group CSR Report 2009” which we published last year, was awarded a prize in the “Sustainability
Reporting Award” section of the 13th Green Reporting Award and Sustainability Reporting Award, co-sponsored by Toyo Keizai Inc. and the Green Reporting Forum.
The AGC Group continues to aim to be a corporate group which is trusted, counted on and supported by
all its stakeholders through its CSR activities.
