Revision of Non-consolidated Earnings Estimates

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (“MHFG”) hereby revises its non-consolidated earnings estimates (earnings estimates of the holding company) for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010, which were released on November 13, 2009, as set forth below, due mainly to an increase in non-operating expenses. There is no revision to MHFG’s consolidated earnings estimates for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 announced on November 13, 2009. (Non-consolidated)
