Panasonic Global Eco Learning Program (PGELP)
Following demand from Group members around the world seeking to implement environmental education activities at the request of their respective regions, but requiring educational programs to be supplied for them, Panasonic has developed a series of educational materials that can be arranged freely though a variety of activities, such as factory tours, lessons at schools, and environmental education for employees to offer to local children.
The program consists of five 30-minute modules, and in addition to PowerPoint data and worksheets, scenario books have also been provided so that the sessions can be started immediately.
At present, the materials are available in Japanese, English, and Chinese.
The five modules, global warming, biodiversity, eco technology, manufacturing, and eco life, can be offered individually or in combinations.
Panasonic Donates for Flood Victims in Pakistan
Panasonic Corporation announced today the company will donate three million yen to aid victims and support the recovery of areas affected by the massive floods that struck the northwestern part of Pakistan from late July to early August.
Panasonic and its employees express deep condolences for victims of the floods and sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas in Pakistan affected by the disaster.(August 6, 2010)
Panasonic Donates for Landslide Victims in China
Panasonic Corporation announced today the company will donate RMB one million (approximately 13 million yen) to aid victims and support the recovery of areas affected by the landslides that struck Gansu Province in the northwestern part of China on 7 and 8 August.
Panasonic and its employees express deep condolences for victims of the landslides and sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas in China affected by the disaster.(August 17, 2010)
