Ikegami IP Network System, First Release
T-Sip System of Triple Scalable, Picture Quality, Picture Size, and Selection of Frequency
The latest JPEG 2000 Compression and Coding System
High reliability and System flexibility
Ikegami Tsushinki Co.,Ltd, Tokyo, Japan announced the launch of it's newly developed IP Digital Network System based on a JPEG 2000 System for the Security Surveillance market. Ikegami has been engaged in closed circuit TV surveillance system manufacturing and installation with conventional analogue, JPEG, Motion JPEG, and MPEG2 types Digital Systems over the past years and it now starts to promote the system with JPEG 2000 coding, which allows high scalability, flexibility and high reliability within the JPEG 2000 CODEC with better error corrections.
Using this technology, selection of better picture quality, flexible frame rate, and wider range of picture size become possible. This highly scalable, reliable network system is suitable for future system construction in retail shops, supermarkets, department stores, financial institutions, entertainment business, casinos and parlors, governmental authorities, and transportation facilities and infrastructures, air, land, sea, rails, buses and ships.
The high scalability surveillance system results in higher compression rates, higher picture quality, resolution, more stable transmission performance, higher tolerance probability against transmission errors because of JPEG 2000 coding features over IP network system. This allows flexible system application, for example, recording may write with the highest resolution level, monitoring over internet with medium resolution level, and low resolution level monitoring for wireless LAN systems, or portable digital terminals. The system can provide five different resolution levels, three different frame rates or frequencies, and different size pictures.
A key component of the system, the JPEG2000 Network Camera, IPD-Q01 and the JPEG2000 Network Encoder, IEN-T01 have provisions to work with 2-way audio capability, various sensor inputs, for sophisticated interactive systems. Also, for more reliable and accurate surveillance system buildings, Ikegami's proprietary algorism of motion detection, and privacy masking are designed to work even under the harshest of operating conditions, such as in low light levels, dawn, dusk, high noon or high contrast conditions, winter, summer, etc. Another key component of the system, the JPEG 2000 Network Recorder, INR-Q500 is a HDD recorder of two optional recording capacities of, 500GB or 1TB. This recorder has a provision to have a maximum 32 inputs from either network cameras or network encoders and also it can perform simultaneous monitoring from four clients inputs. Graphic display system is user friendly to have mixed display of recording picture and live picture on 1,4,7,10,13 or 16 multiple screens, and day date retrieval, alarm retrieval are also possible.
Key Features JPEG 2000:
Higher compression rate for higher resolution, stable transmission bit rate, and higher reliability of better tolerance against transmission errors and less noise disturbance. Simultaneous distribution to the system in different resolution levels (Max.780x480), different picture quality (5 steps), different frame rates(Max 30 fps) can be possible with the latest high efficiency JPEG 2000 coding system. An accurate Motion Detection based on Ikegami's unique algorithms that permit accurate operation under poor conditions, such as low light levels, high contrast conditions, dawn, dusk, indoors, outdoors. (IPD-Q01 and IEN-T01) An Alarm Mail sends an e-mail when the camera receives an alarm input, that performs significant way to watch intruder/intruders from offsite place. (IPD-Q01 and IEN-T01) Pre-Alarm Function built-in that records 120 fps (about 4 seconds prior event before alarm), so that pictures before something happened can be monitored. (IPD-Q01 and IEN-T01) PoE, Power over Ethernet is adopted to provide the camera power supply and image transmission by a single cable. Analog (NTSC) output provision for monitoring and vision checking convenience. Sensor inputs/outputs are provided. Combination application with existing sensor system is possible. Audio inputs/outputs are provided for sophisticated system build-up with interphone system or other audio equipment for interactive operation. (IPD-Q01 and IEN-T01) Provision for Preset Dome Cameras and various control data:
Will work with Preset Dome cameras such as Ikegami PCS series products and RS-232C/ RS-485 control system to work with other external systems and equipment. (IEN-T01) Can record up to 32 image streams. (pictures from 32 cameras if necessary) Max 240 fps high speed recoding is possible on INR-500 recorder. Average speed of 7.5 fps with 32 camera inputs or full motion picture recording for Max 8 camera inputs. Multi-window display of 1, 4, 7,10,13,16 split display on one screen is possible for easier monitoring of multiple cameras. Live picture monitoring and recorded picture monitoring can be possible at the same time for accurate and reliable surveillance. DVD Backup is possible:
Backup function with DVD media is built-in to secure vital information.
