概要
Compact SFP MSA（CSFP）
用途
SONET/SDH伝送装置、WDMシステム、ギガビット
イーサーネット等の機器間を、高速信号で接続する方
式として、SFP（Small Form- Factor Pluggable）
トランシーバが普及していますが、今後の装置の小
型化、より多くのポート数の実装を実現するため、
従来のSFPを大幅に小型化したCompact SFP MSA
が策定されています。
AKX-Aシリーズは、Compact SFP MSA・1チャ
ンネルタイプ に準拠したコネクタとケージです。
Compact
SFP（CSFP）は、2008年2月に、
NEC殿、フジクラ殿、米国eGtran殿の3社にて結成、
策定されたMSA（Multi Source Agreement）で、
従来のSFPトランシーバと比較し、約半分の幅に小
型化した仕様となっています。
トランシーバは1チャンネルと2チャンネルの2タイ
プが規定されています。
■1チャンネルタイプ
従来のSFPトランシーバの約半分のサイズで、1チャ
ンネルの双方向伝送を可能にします。
■2チャンネルタイプ
従来のSFPトランシーバと同一のサイズで、2チャン
ネルの双方向伝送を可能にします。

Compact SFP MSA (CSFP)
As a method of high-speed connections between SONET/SDH transmission equipment, WDM systems, Gigabit Ethernets, etc., the Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are in widespread use. However, in order to further downsize equipment and mount ports, the compact SFP MSA transceivers have been designed, with the compact transceivers drastically downsized compared to current SFP transceivers.The AKX-A series of connectors and cages conform to the compact SFP MSA 1 channel type products.
The compact SFP (CSFP) is a Multi Source Agreement (MSA), which has been agreed to by 3 companies, NEC, Fujikura, and eGtran. When comparing both the specifications of the new CSFP and the current SFP transceiver, the size of the new CSFP transceiver is reduced by 1/2. The new transceivers provide 1 and 2 channel types.

■1 channel typeThe size of the new CSFP transceiver is approximately half the size of the current SFP transceiver. Bi-directional transmission can be performed over 1 channel. ■2 channel typeThe size of the new CSFP transceiver is the same size as the current SFP transceiver. Bi-directional transmission can be performed over 2 channels.
