Avex Concludes Basic Agreement
for Use of Sound Source on Niko Niko Douga

Avex Group Holdings Inc. announces that Avex Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shinji
Hayashi), 100％ owned subsidiary of Avex Group Holdings Inc., has concluded a basic agreement with Niwango Inc.
(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative director: Seiji Sugimoto) for a license to use the rights of master
recordings (sound source), which are held and managed by the Avex Group, on Niko Niko Douga (Harajuku), a website jointly operated by Niwango Inc. and Dwango Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President/COO: Hiroshi Kobayashi), as a service to users.

With the license to use the rights of master recordings (sound source) held and managed by the Avex Group, users will be able to lawfully use the sound source as back ground music for video pieces and live video clips they have created for distribution on the Web.

Preparations are being made for the launch of the service in February 2011. Details of the service will be made
