Mr. Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Live Piano Solo to beWebcast Free of Charge!
-Athrilling experience shared through various devices and platforms including PC, mobile phone, smart phone and theater-

Avex Group Holdings Inc. is pleased to announce thatMr. Ryuichi Sakamoto, a musician performing through the label
“commons,” which is held and managed jointly with the Avex Group, will webcast his performance on January 9, 2011 during his piano solo tour in Korea entitled ‘Playing the Piano’ free of charge to people worldwide. This will be accompanied by public viewing sessions run by volunteer fans both in Japan and overseas, and a special live viewing at a cinema. Details are as follows.

This engagement will mark the first step in an experimental project called “skmtSocial project” or Sakamoto Social Project, whichMr. Sakamoto launched in December 2010, utilizing social media as the outcome of his efforts to explore and experiment with new possibilities for combining music and the Internet since its earliest days in the 1990s.

It will be an unprecedented worldwide development for users to be able to actively participate in the event, in the sense that not only the stage performance itself but all other information fromthe preparation stage for the show to the completion will be shared with users via such social media as twitter™and Ustream, as well as public viewing sessions, unlike standard webcasts where people passively view videos.

In response to a call fromMr. Ryuichi Sakamoto, volunteer fans both in Japan and overseas will hold public viewing
sessions. This is an experimental project to organize a real-life social network under the catchphrase, “Everyone is the host, and everyone plays a starring role.”
As of January 7, 2011, more than 180 people have expressed an intention to participate in the event.

■Special live viewing at a theater (charge applies)
The show will be broadcast at a theater equipped with acoustic and visual machinery that produces high-quality sound and images (the sound systems used in the show will be reproduced at the cinema).
