Avex to Provide Smartphone Application of BeeTV, a Mobile Phone-Based
Video Content Distribution Service!

Avex Group Holdings Inc. is pleased to announce that its consolidated subsidiary Avex
Broadcasting & Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryuhei
Chiba) has decided to make BeeTV, a mobile phone-based video content distribution service,
available as an application on NTT DoCoMo’s Android smartphones from March 24, 2011.
Details are as follows.

The BeeTV smartphone application will have better image quality and sound quality, and will
be more user-friendly than the i-mode version. This service will allow Avex to achieve higher
level of user satisfaction.

Prior to the public release, Avex will set up a special website for BeeTV-compatible
smartphones to provide video free of charge during the period between March 7, 2011 and
March 24, 2011.

Release date: Thursday, March 24, 2011
Compatible smartphone: sp-mode (*) -compatible Android smartphones
(* sp-mode is the internet provider for NTT DoCoMo’s smartphones)

Payment Payment through the sp-mode content payment services
(Note: Users will be required to separately subscribe to the sp-mode service.)

Monthly fee ¥315 (tax included)
(Note: Users will be separately charged for the sp-mode service [¥315 a month (tax included)].)

Content Programs equivalent to those available in BeeTV for i-mode will be distributed.
(Note: Some content may not be viewable in BeeTV for smartphone.)
