Update on the recovery of the gas business in Hitachi area (as of March 19, 11:00JST)
Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. has been tackling with all our strength for restoring gas supply
facilities in Hitachi, which is part of our supply area, affected by the Tohoku-Pacific
Ocean Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
As a result of our utmost efforts, as of on March 18 at 23:45 p.m., we have managed to
restore gas supply for all our customers of 30,008 which have been suspended, except
for those whose houses have been collapsed or those to whom we cannot resume gas
supply due to some other causes than the earthquake.
We express our deepest sympathy for all the people affected by the Tohoku-Pacific
Ocean Earthquake. We appreciate it very much for the kind understanding and
cooperation from our customers and agencies concerned, which have supported us in
restoring gas supply earlier than scheduled originally.
