Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. announces that a meeting of its Board of Directors held today informally decided to make the following organizational changes, in addition to a number of personnel changes involving directors (mission changes) and general personnel changes, in accordance with its institutional shift to a holding company on April 1, 2011. Details are as follows:

1. Organizational Changes (on April 1, 2011)

As announced on April 26 and May 17, 2010, Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. will shift to a holding company on April 1, 2011 and its trade name will change to Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co., Ltd. On the same day, two new companies will be established through an incorporation-type company split: Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. will take over the businesses related to printing & information and packaging while Toyochem Co., Ltd. will take over the businesses related to polymer & coating, color chemicals, and functional pigments.
The following information is about major organizational changes in Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co., Ltd. as well as the organizational systems of Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. and　Toyochem Co., Ltd.

• Corporate Planning Dept. is renamed Toyo Ink Group Strategy Division.
• Finance & Accounting Dept. is renamed Finance & Accounting Dept.
• Human Resources Dept. is renamed Human Resources Dept.
• General Affairs Dept. is renamed General Affairs Dept.
• Internal Audit Dept. is renamed Internal Audit Dept.
• Patent Dept. is renamed Intellectual Property Dept.
• Production Technology Research Center is renamed Process Innovation Research Laboratory.
• Launching Dept. of Toyo Trading Company is established.
• Trading Dept. is established under Global Business Sector.
• Global Strategy Dept. is established under Production & Logistics HQ.
• Optoelectronics Materials Research Laboratory, Color & Media Materials Research Laboratory and Business Development Laboratory are functionally reintegrated into Advanced Materials R&D Laboratory and Advanced Business R&D Laboratory.

• Ink Business Sector of Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. becomes the parent organization of Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. Its subordinate organizations and departments are renamed and new units are added.

• The Chemical Business Sector of Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. becomes the parent organization of Toyochem Co., Ltd. Its subordinate organizations and departments are renamed and new units are added.
