It topped the “2008 Amazon Editor Ranking” and the “New Century Entertainment White Book 2009 Ranking,” was developed into a radio play in 2009, and then became a manga book, each time increasing its number of fans, so much so that now it is an animated feature.
TMS will design the overall production, while animation production is done by Madhouse, a studio well known both domestically and internationally.
Other major talents, well known in Japan, will contribute their talents to this latest project, including Satoko Okudera who has scripted “Summer Wars” and “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,” and Hidenori Matsubara who handled character design for the “Rebuild of Evangelion” series.
