Establishment of local subsidiary in Indonesia

NTT DATA CORPORATION
NTT DATA CORPORATION, ("NTT DATA"; President and CEO: Toru Yamashita; Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo) and its subsidiary NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. ("NDAP"; President and CEO: Ryoji Fukaya; Head office: Singapore) established a local subsidiary in Indonesia in order to further strengthen the business promotion in Asia-Pacific region. The registered legal name is PT. NTT DATA Indonesia, which is going to in operation on September 1, 2011.
1. Background of the new subsidiary
Indonesia has a huge market with the world's fourth largest population of over 240 million, and it is still growing significantly as represented by GDP growth of over 5%. Because of this, a number of Japanese companies are doing business in Indonesia, and it is expected that more and more multinational companies as well as Japanese will accelerate to establish their business hub in Indonesia.
In this situation, NTT DATA and NDAP decided to establish PT. NTT DATA Indonesia in order to further strengthen their organization supporting introduction, development and management of IT systems for these customers.
Furthermore, NTT DATA and NDAP aim to improve customer satisfaction and expand the business across Asia-Pacific region, by exercising the IT Services providing capability which is strengthened by cooperation between the new company and any other NTT Group companies.
2. The aim of the business
(1) System Integration Services
PT. NTT DATA Indonesia, as "Global Business Partner", makes sales activities, and provides IT system development / management services in order to meet diverse demands from customers who accelerate global expansion. In the meantime, PT. NTT DATA Indonesia makes sales activities and supports to build customer's supply chain on global scale cooperating with NTT DATA group companies, targeting at the customers especially in the vehicles, electronics, insurance, health care and telecommunications sector, in which NTT DATA group has many achievements of IT system development.
(2) Research & Consulting Services
PT. NTT DATA Indonesia provides market research services in Indonesia, advisory services when establishing an office or starting business, and consulting services for Japanese and multinational companies which hope to make their business in Indonesia achieve orbit smoothly.
(3) Package Solutions & Cloud Services for emerging countries
PT. NTT DATA Indonesia develops new IT solutions and services and makes the sale, which are based on previous experience gained in Japan and conform to development stage or needs of the region, regulations and business practices, etc in this region. By providing these services, PT. NTT DATA Indonesia deploys services for local companies in both Indonesia and other emerging countries as well as Japanese and multinational companies
