Subsidiary to provide high-quality overseas removals operations in-house, enhance comprehensive logistics services
NEX Global Logistics Korea Co., Ltd. (Masanao Nemoto, President), the Korean subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), has changed its name to Nippon Express Korea Co., Ltd., effective January 1, 2012.
Established on September 17, 2002 primarily to carry out air cargo forwarding operations, NEX Global Logistics Korea currently has nine locations in seven cities, including Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Pyeongtaek, and Sihwa. In 2010 the company became the first South Korean forwarder to acquire AEO certification.
As it marks its milestone 10th anniversary this year, the company will be changing its name to Nippon Express Korea Co., Ltd., in an effort to boost its name recognition both inside and outside South Korea and further expand its business.
In conjunction with this name change, the company will also be taking over the overseas removals operations to/from South Korea previously handled through a local agent, assigning 10 staff members (including personnel dispatched from Japan) to provide these services and stepping up its sales efforts in South Korea.
With the conclusion of FTAs expected to further stimulate logistics demand in South Korea, Nippon Express Korea intends to enhance its forwarding operations and its lineup of 3PL and overseas removals services to enable the company to offer services capable of meeting a wide range of needs.
