(Announcement) About the conditions after the earthquake of March 11, 2011
As our principal manufacturing subcontractors are located in North-East Japan (Tohoku Region), the parties concerned, including our customers and co-development partners abroad, express their anxieties about our condition after the earthquake. We would like to report on the current condition based on information we have collected so far.
PSS head office is located at Matsudo City, a suburb of Tokyo and there is no human damage and the big damage with our building and equipments though we have suffered sizable shakes.
As for the conditions of main manufacturing subcontractors, who are situated respectively at middle of mountains far from ocean coast and there can be no damage by Tsunami. Although there were some damages at walls and ceilings caused by the earthquake, there is no serious damage with our products in manufacturing processes and the planed schedule should be mostly maintained.
PSS as a company who operates in the eastern Japan where most of damages occurred from this natural disaster and as a company who has developed and manufactured genetic testing instruments, we consider possible options to support in relief and recovey processes.
