Notice Concerning the Merger of Consolidated Subsidiaries
Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuyuki Tanaka; Capital: 15.5 billion yen; hereinafter referred to as "Hitachi Chemical") as of April 1, 2012, is to merge the company's consolidated subsidiaries, Hitachi Chemical Industrial Materials Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Chemical Coated Sand Co., Ltd. into the consolidated subsidiary, Hitachi Kasei Techno Service Co., Ltd., in order to improve the quality of complementary operations of the Group business facilities, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthening corporate governance.
