NE Europe commences operations as regional headquarters company

Nippon Express Europe GmbH ("NE Europe"; Yoshiaki Ishii, President), established as the regional headquarters company for Europe by Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), commenced operations on April 1.
As a regional headquarters company, NE Europe oversees 15 Nippon Express Group subsidiaries in Europe, Russia and the Middle East. The company was founded in January of this year to allow for more rapid management decision-making in response to developments in EU markets and to pursue a unified regional sales structure; it subsequently completed relocation to a new office and started operations at the beginning of this month.
NE Europe is promoting active expansion within the region, as typified by the April opening under its purview of a new Togliatti Office by NE Russia, and it will continue addressing logistics needs in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.
Nippon Express has organized its global operations into a quintipolar framework, with regional headquarters in the Americas, Europe, East Asia, and South Asia-Oceania coordinating with Group headquarters in Japan, and will be seeking to attain further growth as a global logistics company by enhancing governance in each of these regions via the regional headquarters companies.
