Chinese patent is granted on PSS's invention of "Bellows Type Dispensing Tip, Bellows Type Dispensing Apparatus, and Method of Bellows Type Dispensing Processing"
Matsudo, Japan, April 20, 2012 - Precision System Science, Co., Ltd (PSS) announced that it received notice of allowance from State Intellectual Property Office of The P.R.C. (SIPO) concerning PSS’s invention of Bellows Type Dispensing Tip, Bellows Type Dispensing Apparatus, and Method of Bellows Type Dispensing Processing” (Chinese patent application No.200780002362.2)
The invention technology is to enable manufacturing cost reduction of instrument without using expensive parts in sample or reagent dispensing process, which is crucial part of automated gene analysis. As for the basic component, without cylinder, it controls originally invented plastic bellows type tip. The price of instruments related to gene analysis has been relatively expensive and it made difficult to realize more productive analysis works especially in developing economies including most of countries in Asia. This technology could propose solutions in many areas.
PSS regards the Chinese patent grant on the invention as a big leverage for PSS to market its own products in Asia, including China. Initially, PSS is to introduce “Bellowla-Multy”, a simplified model of DNA extractor (improved edition of BA-X series), in the market in 2012 and then to develop and provide more applied systems.
