About Being Selected for the "Dow Jones Sustainability World Index"
SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (President: Naofumi Negishi) has been selected for the "World Index (Dow Jones Sustainability World Index)" of the "Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI)," a global stock market index for SRI (Socially Responsible Investment).
This is a stock market index jointly developed by Dow Jones & Company, Inc. (U.S.) and SAM (Switzerland).
340 corporations (17 Japanese corporations including ours) were selected this year from among approximately 2,500 of the world's most prominent corporations for the World Index.
Furthermore, our company has been chosen as "Sector Leader," "Gold Class," and "Sector Mover" by SAM in 2012 in regard to our corporate sustainability evaluation.
