TOA Corporation (Headquarters: Kobe, President: Kenji Itani) exhibits Splash-proof Hand Grip Type Megaphone, designed by Shin Azumi, at "47 GOOD DESIGN" (November 1, 2012 to January 27, 2013) in Shibuya, Tokyo, and at the international design exhibition "RECIPROCITY design liège 2012" (October 5, to October 28, 2012) in Liège, Belgium.

Since its launch in 2005, TOA Splash-proof Hand Grip Type Megaphone, designed by Shin Azumi, has received wide acclaim for excellence in both functionality and design. The same year, the product received a "Good Design Award" in Japan. The product lineup comprises four types, each different in functionality, size, and color, including "Splash-proof Hand Grip Type Megaphones with Whistle."

[Summary of the Exhibitions]

*47 GOOD DESIGN - Good Design Awards in Japan's 47 Prefectures

"47 GOOD DESIGN" is an exhibition organized by the design museum "d47 MUSEUM," which has as its underlying orientation products from the 47 prefectures of Japan. This year's exhibition, the fourth of its kind, will focus on works that have received a "Good Design Award," a design promotion initiative sponsored by Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). The institute has assembled products that demonstrate the "locality" of the 47 prefectures; selection was made by the exhibition's chief director, Kenmei Nagaoka. The company's megaphone represents Hyogo Prefecture.

*RECIPROCITY design liège 2012 -- Special Exhibition, "Craft & Industry"

"RECIPROCITY design liège 2012" originated with the first international design biennale with that name, held in 2002 in Liège, Belgium. This year marks its sixth opening. The biennale showcases many exhibitions, conferences, and related events. Among them, the company's megaphone will be presented at "Craft & Industry," a special exhibition dedicated to art in the fields of craft and industry.

A designer based in London. Azumi is the representative of "a studio," a design company.

Azumi has designed TOA products, particularly speakers and megaphones, since 1999, to date, Azumi has created 35 products, of which seven have won a Good Design Award, including the TOA Splash-proof Hand Grip Type Megaphone, which will be exhibited at the two events.
