Otsuka Pharmaceutical Files for Application of
New Dry Powder Inhaler Product from the Meptin Brand
- Inhalation of bronchodilator made easier due to lessened steps, such as prior shaking of the inhaler - patients will only have to flip the lid open and press the button before inhaling Meptin in the new dry powder inhaler form
- Lid is attached to the device, making the inhaler kit small and therefore portable, as well as preventing dust entering or moistening the powder
- Meptin came in many dosage forms since its launch in 1980, meeting the demands of patients of various ages and pathological conditions
Tokyo, Japan, January 11, 2013 - Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. today announced that the company submitted a manufacturing and marketing approval application for procaterol hydrochloride hydrate in dry powder inhaler form, in December 2012.
