Notice Regarding the Close of Yanmar Racing Activities

As of April 30, 2013, Yanmar's support of the sailing team Yanmar Racing will finish, bringing to an end a sponsorship that has continued since the first signing in 2009. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have supported and encouraged the team over the years.
Yanmar Racing was formed around the renowned international sailor Peter Gilmour and competed in international events in the Alpari World Match Racing Tour, the racing world's premier monohull match racing series. While Yanmar Racing is no more, each of the crew members now goes on to new challenges in professional sailing, and we ask you to give them your continued support.
Yanmar Racing: race results
- 2009: Competed in 8 races. Finished 4th. (Won the Swedish leg of the series.)
- 2010: Competed in 7 races. Finished 8th. (Won the Portuguese leg of the series.)
- 2011: Competed in 7 races. Finished 5th. (Runners-up in the German leg of the series.)
- 2012: Competed in 6 races. Finished 4th. (Runners-up in the Swedish leg of the series.)
At the end of the 2012 racing season, Peter Gilmour announced his retirement from the World Match Racing Tour.
