Near IR Corrected / 3 Mega-Pixel Lens
for Surveillance Integrated Vari-Focal Lens

Tamron Co., Ltd. (HQ: Saitama city, President & CEO Morio Ono), comprehensive optics manufacturer and a leader company in the security industry, announced the development of an integrated type Near-IR Corrected / 3 Mega-Pixel Vari-Focal Lens.

Development Concept
Tamron has been providing its ground breaking model DF010 with excellent user satisfaction since 2009. As sensor resolution rapidly increases, a need for higher resolution in the infrared spectrum as well. Furthermore, the variety of sensors has broadened, with larger sizes becoming more widespread.
In response to this new demand, Tamron undertook a full redesign of its optics to develop a new integrated lens with high infrared resolution.
This new lens has significantly higher resolution in infrared than the conventional DF010, and realizes high resolution in night time in addition to day time. The oversized image circle is also designed to accommodate a variety of sensors.

- Realizes improved optical performance compared to the conventional model, and achieves 3 Mega-Pixel in visible light. In addition, mega-pixel resolution is maintained in the near infrared spectrum.

- Lens has been miniaturized to fit in a 3-inch dome housing.
- Optical performance has been improved while maintaining the same size as the conventional model. Similar size as other models of similar spec allow interchangeability without major camera design changes.
- Supports 1/2.7" Imager Size
- Sensor sizes have been getting larger due to the emergence of higher-resolution sensors. Can be used with the popular 1/2.7" format.
- Standard 3-9mm Focal Range
- Widest Horizontal Angle of View Achieves 93 Degrees
