Fujitsu Launches New Lineup of PCs and Tablets for Consumers
Features updated designs, all models preinstalled with latest Windows 8 update, Windows 8.1
Tokyo, October 8, 2013 — Fujitsu today announced the release of an updated lineup of consumer-oriented PCs and tablets, with eleven new models in six product families. The designs of the FMV Series of PCs and ARROWS Tab Series of tablets have been updated, and all models are preinstalled with the latest Windows 8.1 operating system update. To make it even easier for users to fully enjoy the features of the Windows 8.1 update and Fujitsu's enhanced My Cloud service, eight of the new models feature touch functionality. The new models will be available in Japan starting October 18, 2013.
Included in the lineup are completely new models, such as the ARROWS Tab QH55/M, a water- and dust-resistant tablet that supports both touch operations and digital pen input; the high-spec, water-resistant, 2-in-1 Ultrabook™ ARROWS Tab QH77/M, which can also be converted into a tablet. The ESPRIMO WH77/M, a desktop PC with a conceptually new design concept, can easily change configuration for convenient touch operations.
In addition to making the My Cloud service even easier to use, enhanced functions have been added, such as the ability to link with scanners and car navigation systems. Moving forward, for all of its new PC models, Fujitsu plans to continue delivering new ways for users to enjoy their PCs through My Cloud.
As of today, Fujitsu is also establishing a new help line for customers needing assistance now that support for Windows XP has ended. In response to customer uncertainty and questions relating to the end of Windows XP support, Fujitsu is enhancing its customer support services to help customers switch to new PC environments with peace of mind.

1. ARROWS Tab QH55/M: Water- and dust-resistant tablet with an extraordinarily vibrant screen that supports pen input
With a 10.1-inch wide-screen LCD delivering 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution and 299 ppi pixel density, this model allows users to enjoy high-resolution photographs and videos with images so crisp and clear that they look like photographs in a magazine. The tablet's splash- resistant stylus, which is built into the casing and can detect 1,024 gradations of pressure sensitivity(1), enabling the thickness or coarseness of strokes to be rendered in a way that is similar to a pen or brush on paper. In addition to having a sturdy body and employing reinforced glass, the tablet it is equipped with a long-lasting battery that can last for roughly 15.5 hours(2), enabling it to be used without worry anywhere on the go. Moreover, in addition to water- (IPX5/7/8) and dust-resistant (IP5X)(3) technology, a protective coating helps keep it safe from chemicals(4) so that after being used outdoors or when operated by children, it can safely be cleaned with antibacterial wipes.
The tablet can also be used with the Slim Keyboard, sold separately. Just as with a laptop PC, the keyboard makes for easy text input, and can be closed when carried to protect the screen.

2. 2-in-1 Ultrabook™ ARROWS Tab QH77/M: Converts into a high-spec, water-resistant tablet when the keyboard is removed
Equipped with a wide-format, large 12.5-inch LCD screen, and equipped with the latest 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U Processor, the 2-in-1 Ultrabook™ ARROWS Tab QH77/M can be used in three configurations. Depending on desired purpose, users can choose the comfort of an easy-to-use tablet style, a laptop style ideal for editing text, or, by connecting it to the Turbo Mode Expansion Cradle(5), which enables it to be used as a full-spec desktop PC.
When the keyboard is removed and it is used as a large-screen tablet, its A4-file size means it can easily fit into a bag and be taken out for use at any time. In addition, because it is water- (IPX5/7/8) and dust-resistant (IP5X) and comes with an attached splash- resistant stylus pen, it can be used in a variety of environments, including around water or in the rain, enabling users to take advantage of new uses that leverage the tablet's Ultrabook™ high-performance features. Moreover, it can be operated over long periods while on the go, and can be quickly charged to 80%(6) of its full capacity in an hour.

3. ESPRIMO WH77/M: A new type of desktop PC whose shape can easily be changed to enable convenient touch operations
The ESPRIMO WH77/M is a new desktop PC with a wide-format, 21.5-inch LCD screen with an angle of incline that can be freely adjusted within the range of 9º-62º, enabling users to enjoy touch functionality in a relaxing position. The hinge component that moves the screen employs Fujitsu's proprietary "adjust slider," which allows the PC to easily and smoothly be shifted between desktop style and touch style. The angle of the screen can also be changed without moving the keyboard, so users can choose the style that best suits their needs in any given situation. Furthermore, the IPS LCD display renders a clear, crisp picture with a wide viewing angle even when the device is tilted, thereby enabling users to enjoy photographs and videos in Full HD resolution in both touch and desktop styles.

4. LIFEBOOK SH90/M: A laptop PC with an interchangeable multi-bay slot and with battery life for all-day use
The LIFEBOOK SH90/M has a wide-format, 13.3-inch LCD screen and a high-capacity battery that enables long running of approximately 21.1 hours(2), more than enough for all-day use. It also employs an ultra-compressed, solid core structure, resulting in a very robust design. In addition to being compact, its easy-to-hold design features rounded-edged hinges, so it is comfortable to carry around.
Because the LCD screen uses an ultra-high-resolution, next-generation IGZO display, users can enjoy beautiful photographs and videos that are vivid and lifelike.
Despite its slim casing, the PC is equipped with a rich set of interfaces, including an analog RGB output terminal and wired Ethernet. It also has a mobile multi-bay design that enables the drives to be interchanged, so users can enjoy CDs and DVDs while on the go or run the PC for up to roughly 28.1 hours(7), making it useful in a variety of situations.

5. LIFEBOOK AH Series: More stunning than ever
The LIFEBOOK AH Series features a wide-format, 15.6-inch LCD screen with a newly enhanced design and updated basic functionality. The AH77/M model is a laptop PC with touch functionality. The use of omnidirectional design makes it aesthetically beautiful when viewed from any angle. The design not only fits well into any interior setting, but it is also easy to carry and has been designed for the ultimate level of portability. In addition, to enable worry-free extended use, the notebook PC's touchscreen display employs scratch-resistant Dragontrail® glass. Even in the event of the laptop sustaining an impact, the drive's data is designed to stay safe through its HDD Protection, a special feature designed to protect the drive's data. Moreover, photos can easily be transferred from an NFC-compatible smartphone, enabling users to enjoy the images like a photo album on the PC's Full HD wide-angle LCD, which looks crisp when viewed from any angle. Mainstream models in the AH Series, such as the AH56/M, which includes touch functionality, also feature a new design and enhanced basic functions.

6. LIFEBOOK UH Series Ultrabook™: Equipped with a high-performance CPU, high-capacity hard drive, and touch functionality
With an emphasis on performance, the Ultrabook™ LIFEBOOK UH Series, which includes touch functionality and is lightweight and easy to carry around, is equipped with the latest 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U Processor, as well as a 500GB hybrid HDD. The UH90/M model is equipped with an ultra-high resolution (3,200 x 1,800) next-generation IGZO display. With approximately 2.7 times the detail of Full HD, users can enjoy ultra-high resolution digital photos that are given a vivid and lifelike. In addition, the UH90/M's slim body is only 15.5mm thick, making it the world's thinnest notebook PC(8) with a built-in hard drive, and it features an ultra-compressed, solid core design, resembling a single strong solid structure, that makes it exceptionally sturdy.

7. ESPRIMO FH52/M: A desktop PC that delivers intense sound and displays images beautifully
ESPRIMO FH52/M
The ESPRIMO FH52/M has an IPS liquid crystal display with Full HD, enabling users to enjoy stunning video images. Full HD videos can also be viewed on its impressive large-screen display, and because it uses IPS technology for wider viewing angles, the video images are beautiful when viewed from any angle. Moreover, its Pioneer speakers and DTS deliver sound with impact. Moreover, its body has a depth of approximately only 17.5cm, thereby conserving space, so it can be placed anywhere.
8. Four models equipped with NFC
Four models are equipped with near field communications (NFC) capabilities: QH55/M, QH77/M, WH77/M, and AH77/M. By simply waving an NFC-enabled smartphone over the PC, the smartphone's photos can be easily downloaded to the PC via F-LINK, and a photo album will automatically be created in My Cloud. Since it supports FeliCa, users can easily shop online at websites that take Rakuten Edy or Suica cards, or they can add funds to their cards.
9. Updated My Cloud functionality
To make it easier to launch My Cloud, a tile icon for My Cloud Home has been integrated into the Windows start screen. At My Cloud Home, users can receive information on services and other notifications, and they can also launch the other My Cloud functions.
My Cloud Start, which automatically provides unified management of photos and videos, now supports Excel, Word, PDF, and other document formats. New functions have been added, such as automated organization of photos by people in the photo(9) and the ability to retouch images on the screen, making it even more convenient and easier to use.
By linking Fujitsu's "My Cloud Library" cloud storage to PFU's ScanSnap scanners, data can be saved automatically. User's can take advantage of the MirrorLink function of Fujitsu Ten's ECLIPSE car navigation system, accessing smartphones that support My Cloud, to enjoy the photos and music saved on their home PCs(10). Other features available through My Cloud include the ability to instantaneously listen to music saved on a home PC via a car audio system, and being able to set up a car navigation system so that it will guide the user to their objective using the GPS data on photos.
10. Optional accessories and peripheral equipment
Fujitsu offers optional accessories and peripheral equipment that can be used for greater ease and convenience.
1) Network TV Tuner(11)
To enable users to view TV on PCs and tablets that lack built-in TV functionality, Fujitsu now offers a network TV tuner. By simply connecting it to a home's wired or wireless Ethernet router, users can enjoy terrestrial digital, BS, or 110° communications satellite digital broadcasts on a variety of devices, including PCs, tables, and smartphones. In addition, with the FMV ARROWS Tab, users can view videos and TV.

2) Specially-designed Cases and Covers
For its laptop PCs (UH90/M, UH55/M, SH90/M), which are often used on the go, Fujitsu offers cases that are specially-designed to snugly fit each model (sold separately). The covers protect the PCs from getting scratched when they are carried in a bag with a variety of other items or when carried in one's hands. Fujitsu also has special covers for the ARROWS Tab QH77/M and QH55/M models. Not only do the covers protect the tablets from getting scratched while they are being carried around, but the tablets can also be propped up at a fixed angle while still in the cover for easy touch operations.

Glossary and Notes
- 1 1,024 gradations of pressure sensitivity:
- The way that pressure on the stylus renders a stroke depends on the specifications of the application being used.
- 2 Battery run time:
- As measured using Ver 1.0 of JEITA's measurement method.
- 3 Water- (IPX5/7/8) and dust-resistant (IP5X):
- This applies only to the tablet portion of QH77/M. For QH55/M, it maintains IPX5, IPX7 and IPX8 water resistance when the cap for the external input connectors is firmly in place. The IPX5 designation indicates that the tablet can normally function after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3 m for a period of at least 3 minutes. The IPX7 rating indicates that water will not penetrate inside the tablet and it will function normally after being gently immersed in a tank of room-temperature tap or still water of a depth of 1 m for approximately 30 minutes. The IPX8 designation indicates that the tablet functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap water to a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes. With the external connection terminal cap tightly closed, the IP5X dust-resistance feature protects the tablet from dust damage. IP5X indicates that the tablet can be left in an environment with dust particles with a diameter of 75 µm or less for 8 hours and continue to function and be used safely. To maintain water resistance, it is recommended that all parts be replaced once every two years, regardless of whether there are problems. In replacing the parts, the Damaged Goods Handling Unit will take the entire body of the tablet and then replace the parts (and a fee will be charged).
- 4 A coating that protects it from chemicals:
- The protection from chemicals is only when the cap for the external input connectors is firmly in place. The chemicals that can be used are ethanol (alcohol), isopropyl alcohol, and sodium hypochlorite. Other than for the purpose of eliminating stains or bacteria, please avoid using chemicals.
- 5 Turbo Mode Extension Cradle:
- The cradle is sold separately.
- 6 Charged to approximately 80% in one hour:
- When it is in sleep mode or is switched off.
