LECIP INC. (Illinois, USA, President Kazuo Ueno), a consolidated subsidiary of LECIP HOLDINGS CORPORATION (Motosu-City, Gifu, Japan, President Makoto Sugimoto), received an order for an Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System for the route buses on 3 December 2013 from the Clark County Public Transit Benefit Area Authority (C-TRAN) in the United States.

LECIP INC. (Illinois, USA, President Kazuo Ueno), a consolidated subsidiary of LECIP HOLDINGS CORPORATION (Motosu-City, Gifu, Japan, President Makoto Sugimoto), received an order for an Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System for the route buses on 3 December 2013 from the Clark County Public Transit Benefit Area Authority (C-TRAN) in the United States.
For LECIP group, this is the third major contract following the Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus in California and the Transit Authority of River City in Louisville, Kentucky last year.
As we have gain momentum in the North American market, and will continue to aggressively pursue business activity backed up by our state-of-the-art technology, high quality equipment, and reliable service.
1.Background
C-TRAN was established in 1981 and operates approximately 30 routes, 100 buses around Clark County. They have considered the introduction of new AFC for the upgrade from the existing decrepit AFCs and the aspect of system quality. Despite the competition in the bidding process, LECIP successfully wins the bid due to a high evaluation in the farebox equipment’s high processing speed, easy maintenance of the hardware, and usability of the system as a whole.
With this procurement, all route buses will be replaced with new AFC onboard equipment along with a Central Reporting and Management System to be installed on office workstations for the administrative users. This new procurement will result in a more efficient Automated Fare Collection System for C-TRAN.
