Transferring Goodwill of Hitachi Chemical Group-related Products from Hitachi Kasei Shoji to Hitachi Chemical
-Integrating the business resources of both companies and strengthening the customer-focused account management system, to enhance customer service -
Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd (Head Office: Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuyuki Tanaka; Capital: 15.5 billion yen; hereinafter referred to as “Hitachi Chemical”) has decided to take over the business rights of the Hitachi Chemical Group-related products from Hitachi Kasei Shoji Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hitachi Kasei Shoji”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Chemical, from April 1, 2014, to enhance customer service.
1.Objectives
Along with the Hitachi Chemical Group-related products, Hitachi Kasei Shoji has been selling products made outside of the Group. Recently however, Hitachi Chemical has decided to strengthen its sales system, thereby to enhance customer service, by taking over the business rights of the Hitachi Chemical Group's products from Hitachi Kasei Shoji and integrating the business resources of Hitachi Chemical. Meanwhile, Hitachi Kasei Shoji will continue the sales of products other than those of the Hitachi Chemical Group.
