SIOS Technology Joins Google Enterprise Professional Program
as an Office Tool Google Apps Development Partner

SIOS Technology Inc. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nobuo Kita; listed on the Mothers section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange; securities code: 3744; referred to as “SIOS” hereafter) has joined the Google Enterprise Professional (referred to as “GEP” hereafter) program of Google for Google Apps (*1).

GEP Program is a Google partnership program aimed at helping deploy Google enterprise solutions and appliance products that are provided for corporate entities. GEP partners make proposals, develop, and distribute enterprise solutions by adding values to those solutions and products while offering consultation support in each area of expertise.

SIOS provides SIOS Integration for Google Apps, where existing information systems in enterprises and schools are directly linked to Google’s hosted application (*2) “Google Apps”. This service uses Provisioning API (*3) to enable single sign-on (*4) to Google Apps and synchronization of the user management system within the enterprise with Google Apps.
The service has already been implemented in several universities such as Nihon University and Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, and in private enterprises, and approximately 130,000 users are enjoying its benefits.

As a GEP partner, SIOS will continue working on providing unique solutions linked with enterprise solutions provided by Google through SIOS Integration for Google Apps.

*1：Google Apps・・・This is a totally new hosted application service provided by Google requiring no cost or additional work on the part of the users. With Google Apps, users can collaborate in a smooth manner by using tools such as Gmail, Google Calendar, or by providing Google Talk accounts to other users on their own domain, and by implementing online document management, file sharing and real-time, simultaneous editing by using Google Docs & Spreadsheets.

*2：Hosted application･･･A service where system environments required for using applications are lent out to enterprises, organizations, or individuals.

*3：Provisioning API･･･An API (Application Program Interface) where functionalities such as user account generation, capturing, updating, and deletion are provided for an application software.

*4：Single sign-on･･･A system where the user is enabled to use all authorized IT service functionalities by being certified only once when entering the system.
