Regarding the Termination of the Clean Bills Service Denominated in US Dollars

To our valued customers:

We regret to inform you that the clean bills service (cashing of checks issued outside of Japan) for checks denominated in US dollars that is currently offered by the Bank will be terminated.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Details of the termination of the clean bills service are as follows:

1) Date of Service Termination

The clean bills service for checks denominated in US dollars will be terminated in all Branches nationwide effective May 30, 2014, and checks denominated in US dollars will not be cashed by the Bank after this date.

2) Request to Customers

i) Customers in possession of foreign checks denominated in US dollars wishing to cash them through the clean bills service are requested to do so by the end of business, May 30, 2014.
ii) Customers who are scheduled to receive funds by foreign check are advised to change their method of fund receipt to wire transfer.

*The Bank does not offer the clean bills service for foreign checks denominated in currencies other than US dollars.

**The Bank will continue to offer check cashing services for overseas checks denominated in yen.
