ITOCHU Announces Its Receipt of the Grand Prize of the 63rd Nikkei Advertising Awards for Its Advertising Series Using the Corporate Message "I am One with Infinite Missions"

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it has won the Grand Prize of the 63rd Nikkei Advertising Awards organized by the Nikkei Inc.

ITOCHU has been awarded the prize for the “Corporate Message: I am One with Infinite Missions” series consisting of nine advertisements that were printed from March 17 to June 20, 2014.

The reason for ITOCHU being awarded was stated as being “The retro portraits and copy convey their personalities very well. The advertisements express ITOCHU’s warm corporate culture that values human resources.” We believe that ITOCHU has been awarded the prize for the following reasons:
-Impressive technique was used in the creation of the advertisements,
-The advertisements clearly express the abundant individuality and personality of each employee, and
-The advertisements successfully communicate an important characteristic of ITOCHU: The fact that it considers its human resources a great asset.

Nikkei Advertising Awards
Nikkei Advertising Awards, which started in 1952, are Japan’s representative advertising awards. This year is their 63rd year.
Of the advertisements printed in The Nikkei from October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014, excellent works which are ahead of the times and will set trends in advertising were awarded prizes including Nikkei Advertising prizes, Environmental Advertising prizes, and Investor Relations Advertising prizes. For this year’s Nikkei Advertising Awards, a total of 1,371 advertisements were evaluated, and 62 prizes, including the Grand Prize, were awarded.
