All Proceeds from New alan Single to go to Victims of the Sichuan
Earthquake
alan, an artist signed with our wholly owned subsidiary, Avex Entertainment Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Masato Matsuura), who hails from Sichuan Province in the People’s Republic of China, will digitally release a new single with the Japanese title “Shiawase no Kane” (Bells of Happiness) (“Ai Jiu Shi Shou,” or “Love is Our Hand” in Chinese). The single will be released throughout Asia at noon on May 20, in support of all those affected by the earthquake that hit Sichuan on May 12. All profits from this single that would normally be received by Avex Group, alan and all copyright holders will be donated to the Red Cross operating in the concerned areas.

Message from alan There are limits to what an individual can do alone. However, by coming together and working together, we become stronger. What I can do as a singer is pray and sing for victims using my own voice. This, I believe. “Music knows neither borders nor difference among people … ” There is only one Earth, and we all live on it together. We all belong to the same big family; right now, some of our brothers and sisters are suffering. They want to live and they long for help. United, we can get through the difficulties caused by this natural disaster. This is what I believe with all my heart, and I pray. I am truly grateful to everyone who is taking part in this project through “Ai Jiu Shi Shou” and “Shiawase no Kane.” Thank you very much.
