Nikon supports AFC Champions League 2015

AFC Champions League 2015, hosted by AFC (Asian Football Confederation), kicked off on February 24.

A total of 32 club teams, divided into eight groups of four, are competing in the Group Stage. After home and away matches between each team within the same group, the winners and runners-up from the eight groups will advance to the round of 16.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup in December.

The club teams taking part in this competition are from the following countries:

UAE, Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Korea Republic, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Vietnam

Nikon is supporting this competition as the official sponsor. Nikon logos are visible around the pitch at all matches as well as on photographers' bibs. Furthermore, Nikon is operating a service depot at the stadiums to provide support such as camera maintenance and equipment rental for accredited photographers.

AFC Champions League matches are being televised in many countries and regions, with the focus on Asia.

Nikon is also a proud sponsor of the AFC Cup, which began at the same time as the AFC Champions League. This annual international competition involves 32 clubs from AFC-affiliated nations ranked outside of the top 14 Asian countries. The AFC Cup winner will have an opportunity to compete in the qualifier of the following year's AFC Champions League.
