Daiwa Securities Group decided to establish gFinancial Research Centerh in Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. Ltd. (hereinafter gDaiwa Securities SMBCh) to enhance its research function on August 3, 2009.
Daiwa Securities Group will also set up the research department in Daiwa Securities America Inc., Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Limited, Daiwa Securities SMBC Hong Kong Limited, and Daiwa Securities SMBC Singapore Limited (hereinafter goverseas local subsidiariesh) on August 3, 2009.
Approximately 150 domestic and overseas equity research analysts and strategists who belong to Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. and overseas local subsidiaries of Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. (hereinafter gDaiwa Institute of Researchh) will be transferred to Financial Research Center and overseas local subsidiaries of Daiwa Securities SMBC respectively.
This is part of an effort to improve information providing capacity to clients including institutional investors by reinforcing collaboration between research department and institutional sales department..
Daiwa Institute of Research, as a think tank of Daiwa Securities Group, will step up its role to disseminate information to contribute to financial and capital markets, making proposals to domestic and overseas policy issues through the analysis of global economy, and continue researches of global financial/capital marketsf functions and systems. .
