Nippon Express U.S.A. Opens Branch in Indianapolis
18 August 2008
Nippon Express U.S.A., Inc. (NEU; Kenryo Senda, President) on July 1, 2008 established a branch office in Indianapolis, the capital city of the Midwestern state of Indiana.
A total of seven expressways stretch from Indiana throughout the US, and the state is known as the "crossroads of America" for its strategic location at the intersection of routes running north-south between Canada and the Gulf of Mexico and east-west routes connecting the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. The convenience of this location has helped attract many Japanese and other automobile-related manufacturers to Indiana and nearby states, transforming Indianapolis into one of the US' leading industrial cities.
An Indianapolis Sales Office established in 1985 by NEU's Chicago Air Cargo Branch had been primarily engaged in sales of air cargo services. With the attention of expanding companies being drawn to the area extending southward from Indiana and the Midwest, increasing demand for transport services is anticipated. To provide a broad range of logistics services tailored to the specific needs of customers and taking advantage of the area's robust trucking networks, the Sales Office has been upgraded to an independent branch office to handle both international (ocean and air cargo) and domestic services.
NEU is committed to further strengthening its one-stop sales structure to meet the diversifying needs of customers and to improve convenience.
