Nissha Printing Co., Ltd. is a cosponsor of the exhibition “The Secret of Picasso’s Genius” in Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art from January 3 to March 21, 2016.
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) began making art as a boy and subsequently went through phases that are now known as his Blue (1901-1904) and Rose Periods (1904-1906). He later spearheaded Cubism, the greatest plastic revolution of the 20th century art, exerting a tremendous influence on both his artistic contemporaries and successors. Picasso also had the ability to change his style at will, and continued creating an enormous number of works until his death at 91. He was an unparalleled artist who is universally seen as a “genius.” In this exhibition, we explore the roots of Picasso’s formidable talent by focusing on his pre-Cubist work. .(*Quotation from the official website)
