SHIMA SEIKI to Exhibit at BSTIM

Leading Japanese computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. will exhibit at the upcoming Best Solutions in Textile Manufacturing Fair (BSTIM) in Igualada, Spain this month.

On display will be technology displayed at ITMA 2015 for which SHIMA SEIKI received worldwide acclaim as flat knitting innovator. The flagship WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine MACH2XS that drew the greatest crowds will be the highlight at BSTIM. Featuring SHIMA SEIKI's original SlideNeedle on four needle beds and spring-loaded moveable sinkers, MACH2XS offers higher efficiency and greater stability with expanded patterning capability while knitting WHOLEGARMENT items. The compact SWG061N2 WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine offers flexible production as well as the capability for producing industrial textiles. The novel SRY123LP computerized flat knitting machine features loop presser beds with inlay capability, offering new and exciting possibilities in knit-textile hybrid fabrics as well as technical textiles. The SSR series workhorse shaping machine will also be on display, featuring the latest in SHIMA SEIKI computerized flat knitting technology.

Also on display will be the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. Key to SHIMA SEIKI's "Total Fashion System" concept, APEX3 integrates all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to production and sales promotion. With ultra-realistic product simulations, APEX3 is also capable of Virtual Sampling that minimizes the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process.
