Hitachi Launches SaaSWare SynchroMaxTM Services Linking

Salesforce and Groupmax Groupware

-Schedule Synchronization-

HitachiSoft is pleased to announce that it will begin offering the SaaSWareTM SynchroMaxTM service, linking scheduler functions from Hitachi, Ltd.s GroupmaxTM groupware software with SalesforceTM, the on-demand CRM application from salesforce.com, Inc., the industry leader in on-demand business services. The service will be available from April 4th.

The launch of this service marks the first foray into integrating Salesforce with various applications using SaaSWare. HitachiSoft has further plans to expand the service with SaaSWare, centered on linking Salesforce with the folowing applications:

1. Software packages and services offered by HitachiSoft 2. Software packages held by other Hitachi group companies 3. Backbone systems such as ERP (Generalizing HitachiSofts in-house systems)

Before this partnership with salesforce.com, HitachiSoft has been a reseller and has offered system integration services involving Salesforce. Now, by using SaaSWare, customers can take advantage of Software as a Service (SaaS) flexibly in a variety of environments.

SaaSWare SynchroMax is a service which synchronizes scheduler data from Groupmax with calendar data from Salesforce. Employees at companies using both of these systems normally share their schedules using Groupmax, while managing their sales activities, including customer negotiation data, using Salesforce. These sales people need to enter their schedule information in both of these systems. By using SynchroMax, data entered in either system can be reflected in the other, and all employee scheduling data can be shared using Groupmax.

SynchroMax is built using the Apex*1 on-demand platform from salesforce.com.

Introduction to SynchroMax Features

SynchroMax can synchronize the Groupmax scheduler with the Salesforce calendar and ToDo List functions. This eliminates the need to enter data in both applications.

SynchroMax has the following synchronization settings:

(1) Synchronization direction setting:

The direction of synchronization between Salesforce and Groupmax can be set. Three options are available:bidirectional, Salesforce to Groupmax, or Groupmax to Salesforce. (2) Synchronization cycle:

The cycle for automatic synchronization can be set. Manual, immediate synchronization is also available. (3) Synchronization-object settings:

How objects are to be synchronized between Salesforce and Groupmax can be set. This includes setting which Salesforce object, Place, Client, or Client manager, will be synchronized with Destination in Groupmax. (4) Synchronization range selection setting.

Past and future, and what range of dates for ToD and schedule are to be synchronized.

SynchroMax will be priced at 315 yen per month per user, tax included.

HitachiSoft will provide Total Service Integration with its SaaS business, combining SaaSWare with its consulting and integration services based on experience and know-how from installing Salesforce internally for several thousands of users. HitachiSoft plans to continue to integrate Salesforce with other existing services such as piX terraTM, a satellite image ASP, using SaaSWare, and also to apply it to business systems such as internal regulation, sales management, production management, and document management.
